Terry Cennon, Founder, President and CEO

The foundation of Newsco leadership is Terry Cennon who has been a respected pioneer of the directional drilling industry since his career began with Eastman Oil Well Survey Canada Ltd. in 1967. Terry became Operations Manager for Eastman Canada then worldwide before starting Positec Drilling Controls as a founding partner in 1984. Terry's role at Positec was instrumental in the development and successful commercial launch of the world's first fully-retrievable MWD tool which was subsequently purchased in 1990 as the basis for Schlumberger's positive-pulse MWD fleet which expanded its use worldwide..

Drawing upon his extensive experience with horizontal and directional technology applications, Terry established Newsco in 1994 with the focus of customer-driven solutions that continually pioneer cutting-edge technolgy and robust, reliable MWD equipment. The company has grown tremendously due to Terry's continued commitment to developing innovative horizontal and directional drilling technology.

Along with Newsco's reputation of delivering industry leading technical expertise, Terry has instilled a customer-centric approach to every facet of the business.
